Natasha Semone Vassell is a notable member of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), Writers Guild of Canada (WGC), Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television & Radio Artists (ACTRA) Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT) and Women in Film and Television (WIFT) in Toronto Canada. She also sits on the diversity committee for ACTRA Toronto.She was one of the lead co-producers on a film titled TOMB which had a screening at Cannes International Film Festival in 2017 and it was the first Caribbean Science Fiction Film to be shown at Cannes. She is the lead producer on a number of international co-productions currently in development with Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Norway.Natasha has a keen interest in the creative and film arts industry since landing her first role. She has worked extensively and effortlessly in the corporate and non-profit sectors in Canada. She was recognized as one of the top 20 emerging producers at the Berlinale (Berlin Film Festival) in Berlin Germany in 2014 and she also was selected as one of the 20 emerging producers at the Reel World Film Festival in 2013. She also was awarded a mentorship with Cameron Bailey, artistic director of the Toronto, International Film Festival through the Innoversity Film Summit.A Canadian born, native resident of Toronto, Natasha has lived in Italy and Germany for over a 9 year period.
