South African born and based, international actress Nambitha Mpumlwana wears many hats - as a businesswoman, humanitarian, philanthropist, a charity patron and many more. Nambitha is an inspirational, dynamic woman whose talent has touched many people in South Africa. On TV: Although known in the film industry as Nambitha, she has played numerous lead roles on the small screen over the years; in award winning Yizo Yizo I and II, Interrogation Room I and II, Justice for All I & II, Saints, Sinners and Settlers and 7de Laan. She also appeared in The Lab I and II as Pearl Luzipho, a role that earned her the Best Actress in a drama series Golden Horn at the second annual SAFTAs (2007). She also recently played a lead role in Mozart - Music of the Violin on MNet. In FILM: Nambitha has acted alongside celebrated international actors such as Morgan Freeman in Invictus (2009) and appeared opposite Angelina Jolie in Beyond Borders (2003), was right there with Hillary Swank in the BAFTA nominated and award winning Red Dust(2004). She shared intimate moments with Michael Easton in The Diamond Hunters (2001). When Tsotsi (2005) won an Oscar Award, Nambitha was counted amongst the best of South African artists that added depth.
