Monty was born into an aristocratic European family that can trace its ancestry back to William the Conqueror. His interest in fast-paced, action packed drama was born from the adventure stories he heard from his grandfather, one of the founding members of the SAS.At the age of six Monty was sent off to boarding school in the Scottish countryside where he did well until he reached his mid teens. At 16 he ran away from school determined to make a career for himself in the film business. Unfortunately he only made it as far as southern England where he remained until 1994. These formative years (1988 - 1994) are what Monty calls the 'Scrambled Egg' days. He draws much strength and inspiration from being at the culling edge of the dance music explosion and the other activities associated with the period.In 1995 while vacationing in Nantucket with a family friend, Monty met the woman who would become his wife. Jennifer Chow was a domestic servant for his host family but that didn't matter to Monty. It was love at first sight. After marriage and green card ensued the Featherstone family moved to Los Angeles and Monty finally embarked on his writing career.Monty has built on the success of 'Hammerhead' and has a number of projects in development.
