Monique Alvarez is a first generation American actress, writer and producer. She was born in Miami, FL where she spent her childhood on stage in regional theater. She is bilingual, of Colombian and Cuban descent, and also has Spanish and French roots. Her training stems directly from the pupils of Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, Peggy Fury and Sanford Meisner, as well as the Royal Shakespeare Company and Yale Repertory. She's a long-time member of The Barrow Group theatre in NY, whom she credits for an innovative advancement of technique. She may be seen on stage at UCB performing original characters, where her unique voice comes into play as in the world of voiceover that she's worked extensively in. She is currently in production as Jane Doe in PERCY, starring Christopher Walken, Christina Ricci and Zach Braff, and is developing original projects for TV & film. She is based in New York.
