Writer, director, producer, actor, composer Mitch Teemley grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. While still in high school he performed with his group The Daily Planet (labelled one of America's three "best new bands") on an Aretha Franklin-hosted ABC special, singing a song he co-wrote. Fresh out of college he hosted Walt Disney Studios 50th Anniversary Celebration. Upon completing his graduate degree, he taught acting in England alongside future sirs Ben Kingsley and Patrick Stewart. After returning to the U.S., he became a member of the sketch comedy groups Isaac Air Freight and Mitch & Allen, writing and performing on numerous comedy albums and videos, including the best-selling video "Mitch & Allen." Invigorated by these experiences, he began moving into filmmaking, developing the story for and producing his first feature "Out of Time" for Showtime and Columbia Pictures in 2000. He has since written, directed, and produced numerous films and videos, including "My Declaration" and "No Luggage Required," often editing and scoring, as well. He has continued to act, most recently playing the lead in the feature film "Promises to Keep" (due for release in 2018). He is the writer, director, and producer of the award-winning drama "Over-the-Rhine," slated for release later this year. He also wrote six songs for the film. He is married and has two children.
