Originally from Montreal, Québec, Miryam now lives between her home town and New York city. Mixing her love for performing arts, she evolved through choir singing, violin, musicology, acting and dancing. She performed numerous times on stage, in "L'atelier de l'artiste" at La Place des Arts and in "Zeida" presented at La TOHU (Cirque du Soleil) back in Montreal. More recently, she was part of the "Cheap Hugs" cast, a play directed by Sarah Baskin at The Hudson theater (NY) for which she was nominated for "Best singing act" at the New York WinterFest 2018.Miryam Magri will star as "Michelle" (principal) in season 2 of Fugueuse (Runaway), which will air in January 2020. She's also featured in "Becoming Kelly" (post-prod) as Savannah, an aspiring singer and best friend of Kelly. Her TV credits include "Real Detective", S.K.A.L., Série Noire and diverse cameos in shows and web series. As she Fluently moves from an art form to another, she's also fully pursuing a music career anywhere it takes her, under the stage name "Mimo". From performances at SOB's and Rockwood to Sofar sounds concerts, her style can be summed up as Soulful Lo-Fi vibes, more over: Neo Soul meets Street Jazz. "Papa Was" and "Harlem Flat" are the two first singles of her upcoming full length project titled "Street Candid", expected for November 2019.Her training includes master classes and intensive workshops at the Susan Batson Studio, Anthony Meindel NY, William Esper Studio and a Drama degree from Saint-Laurent College. A little known fact about Miryam, French is her first language and she also speaks Arabic, Italian and Spanish.
