Mindy Christine Van Kuren was born in Tacoma, Washington. Her parents, James Van Kuren of Hawaii and Barbara Van Kuren (Melton) of Kentucky met serving in the United States Air Force. As a result, Mindy traveled the globe throughout her childhood being active in sports, school and church choirs and community theatre with her sister, author Katie Jenkins. She began her career modeling and commercial acting between her schooling at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Mindy made her film acting debut as the lead in Jess Carson's short film about the cycle of domestic violence, Paradigm (2014). Other credits include: Henchmen (Dir: Adam Crain); Locus (Writer/DP: Shannon Connally); Ridge Runners (Flydog Productions); Invader (Dir: Scott Eggleston). She was named Best Actress at the University of Central Arkansas Film Festival in April 2015. Mindy hosts showcases for the NBC and Fox affiliates in Little Rock, Arkansas, is the Director of Development for the Film Society of Little Rock and resides in New Orleans.
