Multi-talented is a term that is thrown around all too casually these days, but is exceptionally fitting if we're talking about Mim Shaikh. He's a radio presenter, actor and burgeoning online personality with the charm, wit and conviction to back-up each pursuit. Mim's radio journey began at university where he presented a specialist music show on Leeds Student Radio for a year and won Best Specialist Music Programming and Best Interview awards at the 2012 Student Radio Awards. He was also selected for BBC Radio 1's Hackney Academy in the same year, as well as being granted awards by the Guardian Student Media Awards and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council. His growing Youtube channel showcases his visual comedic talents including pranks, sketches, interviews, spoken word and debates. After accumulating millions of views online with Jump Off TV, Mim has starred in 'Daytimer' which was shortlisted at Sundance Film Festival. He also briefly appeared in BBC Three's South Side Story. Mim can be found every week on BBC Asian Network (Thurs 9pm-12am) bringing together the hottest new music and panel debates around the topics that matter for young British Asians. Along with this he's always floating around on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
