Miles Crawford was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a director and cinematographer, known for I Forgot My Phone (2013), Crown Heights (2017), Drum-Off (2013), and Allstate Foundation: Purple Purse (PSA) (2015). His parents are Michael Crawford, a painter and New Yorker cartoonist, and Margaret Crawford, a horticulturist and educator. His sister, Farley Crawford is an artist and production designer. Miles Crawford's background is in the performing arts. He worked extensively with the Off-Broadway show STOMP, performing in the New York, U.S. and international touring companies. As a session and touring musician, he drummed for Eminem, Ringo Starr, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Art Garfunkel, Darwin Deez, Terrence Mann, and Bronagh Gallagher.
