Giant Dutch actor Milan van Weelden was born on the 12th of December, 1980 in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands.After seeing The Phantom of the Opera on stage in 1994 he knew he wanted to be an actor. After performing in school productions (and after many singing lessons) he was admitted to the Conservatory of Rotterdam, course Classical singing. After 2 years he switched to the Conservatory in Alkmaar and studied Musical Theatre. In his graduation year he got an internship in the Dutch tour of Man of La Mancha, for which he has won a Dutch Musical Award for Best Supporting Actor. He couldn't accept the award himself because he was graduating at the same time.After his graduation in 2009 he has worked in musical-theatre productions in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and Dubai, including Billy Elliot the Musical, Peter Pan - The Never Ending Story World Arena Tour and his beloved the Phantom of the Opera.In addition to working in musical-theatre productions, he also gives his voice to the Dutch versions of Po in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness & the Paws of Destiny, Principal Krupp/Captain Underpants in The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants and The Heretic in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and has appeared in commercials and TV-shows.
