Mihaly Szabados ("Mishi" ) first started acting in a Hungarian stage adaptation of the Dostoyevsky classic, The Brothers Karamazov. Soon after, he established himself as a budding young talent in the Hungarian film industry, highlighted by starring roles in "We never die" a film by festival mainstay and Silver Bear winner, Robert Koltai, and "Romani Kris," winner of the Montréal First Film Prize at the 1997 Montreal World Film Festival. Before heeding the call of Hollywood, he acted in the HBO film Citizen X. Mishi spent three years in Los Angeles at Sal Rome's Artists Studio and at Maria Gobetti's Acting Studio of Victory Theater, learning directing and new theatrical approaches. Highlights of his stay in the city of angels include a the starring role of Gabor in short film "The Guest." After returning to Hungary he co-founded the Sandor Weores Theater in Szombathely, Hungary. There, he created his own theatrical group, Kamikaze Action Theater, where he put in practice what he learned in LA by dusting off old Hungarian plays such as "Mandragora", "Dreams of Gellert-Hill", and "Woyzeck," modernizing them with his own unique twist. Before once again feeling the call of the North American scene, he acted in, among others, Sci-Fi series "Painkiller Jane" and Tamas Domotor's Screen adaptation of "Czukor Show" After a brief stopover in Vancouver, where he starred in "The Redemption of Jackson Gaines", Mishi left for Toronto, Canada's film and television hub. Since moving to Toronto, he has performed in several short films such as "Take it to the Go" as well as a role in upcoming CBC tv show "24hr Rental." Always intent on improving his acting talents, Mishi is currently enrolled in the famed Second City Conservatory. Mishi resides in Toronto from 2012, with his wife and young daughter. Show less «
