At an early age dance was a favorite pastime for Michelle Stevenson as the early days proved to be the foreground for her motivation for dance. Her early experience came from winning several local dance competitions with her sister at the age of six during the summer and performing on a regular basis. Ten years later Michelle got a chance to showcase her talent to everyone in Hollywood. She started her professional career in 1980s as a dancer on Soul Train and other television dance programs, such as American Bandstand, Dick Clark's Nite Time among others. Michelle is a graduate of both West Los Angeles College and Pepperdine University, earning both an A.A. Degree in Business Administration and B.S. in Business and Management respectively.She studied acting briefly with acting coach Betty Bridges and then with the SAG Conservatory at AFI Film School. As an actress Michelle joined both AFTRA and SAG and has starred in several indie short films as well network programs. She studied filmmaking at The New York Film Academy, UCLA Extension program for production as well as The Hollywood Film Institute ("HFI") for digital filmmaking. In addition to attending these schools, she has honed her skills developed her craft as a director by attending famed Director Darin Scott's 2-day Directing Workshop.Music has always been a first love for Michelle, having starting singing at an early age in the church with her sister while on summer vacations in Chicago. The church also served as a foundation for her spiritual strength as an artist and songwriter. This is where the inspiration came for the lyrics to her music.As a result of working with many professionals in production and gaining knowledge, Michelle started her own entertainment company, MS Entertainment. MS Entertainment is produces projects in both music, television and film under the labels, South Benton Records, South Benton Films and MS Productions. MS Entertainment located in West Hollywood, California. The company has several feature length films in various stages of development as well music soundtrack and artist CDs slated for release in the coming year.
