Michael grew up in the Dublin suburb of Blackrock. His father Ivan grew up on a farm but moved to the city as a young man and married Mary. Ivan died in 2001 and Mary died in 2015. He has two sisters. Sheridan went to school In Willow Park and then Blackrock College. He studied Media in third level. After a number of jobs he answered an advert for a presenting role in RTE. He starred in Jo Maxi in 1990 and from here his TV career took off. A succession of shows; TX, The Works, Disney Club etc. led to his creating Finbar's Class which ran for two seasons. He co created Bull Island the satirical sketch show that was a big hit on. RRE 1 TV and later with Alan Shortt toured a theatre resign of the show. Sheridan has a number of documentary credits as Producer/Director to his name including The Climb for Kids (Colin Farrell), The Viking Run, The Irish 66'ers, Brent Pope's Habitat, The Shamrock Run and many more.Some other titles he has been involved in producing/directing: The Rose of Tralee, The Run for Kids, The Mustang Drive, New Year' Eve Show, Up for the Match, Late Late Show, Ireland Bike Fest4, Ban The Cluster Bomb, People of the Year, Telethon, Den Christmas Links, ICE Star Search, BT Young Scientist, Nollaig No.1, Glas Vegas, MPH 2, Whole Way Round, The Memoriser, Go For It, Moto GP, The Best Of Bull 2003, PM Live, 2 Phat & The Sporting Press Gang.
