After 12 years as an actor in St. Louis and Los Angeles, Mike moved into play-by-play announcing, specifically in hockey and junior college football. He moved to Omaha to announce the Omaha Lancers hockey team on Sports 1490 radio and hosted a sports call-in show on 1290 KKAR. He met and married his lovely wife, Jill. Since 2010, Mike has toured as a stand-up comedian and starting in 2014 he landed a sweet gig hosting The Morning Show simulcast on KFMT 105.5 FM and KHUB 1340.
