Michael Gomes was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. Being from a small town, he spent his off-time admiring the beautifully diverse people of the area. In grade school, Michael began acting in school plays and hand-held VHS antics videos with his friends. They would act out parodies they had seen on TV and that creative outlet continued into high school. Michael played football and wrestled in high school where he gained skill in movement and use of his body. Having no experience in music, he joined a rock band in high school and was asked to be the drummer. That was the beginning of a life-long love of drumming and it remains as one of his favorite creative outlets. Preparing for University after high school, Michael attended Cabrillo Jr. College in Aptos, CA. With science as the focus of his education, he learned the rigors and discipline required of calculus, biology and chemistry. He transferred to Chico State University in northern California, where he studied geology and played rugby for the University team. As an elective, he enrolled in an acting course. The rest is history. Michael was in love with acting! At University, Michael studied under Sue Hargrave Pate where he immersed himself into many of her difficult acting assignments. As a leader of his new-found passion, she stretched and challenged him to go further as an actor and to perfect his craft. After receiving his college degree in geology, Michael studied improvisation and acting for the camera under Sarah Albertson and delved into the rigors of Sarah's "Yale School of Drama" background. As a loyal, dedicated actor in the theatre, he cultivated trust and received lead roles in musicals and stage dramas. Talent, reliability, friendliness and hard work has lead Michael to perform roles for National Television, Feature Films When not in front of the camera, Michael enjoys producing film, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, drumming, and self-discovery.
