Michael Biggam is a British born writer, producer, director, actor and musician with over 20 years of experience in performing arts. His love of the craft began at age 12 when he played "Benjamin" in a local theatre production of "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolored Dream-coat" near his childhood town in northern England. From there he got involved in a number of theatrical productions both on stage and off. At age 15 he was acting as stage manager and at 18 returned to his birthplace of Manchester where he auditioned for numerous roles in TV and film, in one case getting six call-backs from "24 Hour Party People" for the part of "Morrissey", narrowly missing out on this Mancunian icon and instead eventually cast as a Sex Pistols punk rocker. Shortly after Biggam got a job at Granada TV as in-house floor runner. At Granada TV he worked across a number of departments, particularly in post alongside editors of shows such as "Cold Feet" and "The League of Gentlemen". Later Biggam became a freelance AD and worked on dozens of productions in the north of England, including "Early Doors", "Mansfield Park" and the original "Shameless". In features Biggam was part of the AD department in the Academy Award winning "The Kings Speech", and D.W. Mault's long-awaited art-house film "Damascus" among others. In 2009 Biggam moved to China to pursue new opportunities and began working as a journalist for a business magazine, coordinating a marketing department for a finance firm and working as a copywriter for ServicePlan, one of the largest international Public Relations firms in China. During this time he began performing stand up comedy on the Beijing circuit, writing scripts for sketch shows and hosting and producing the TV pilot of "Sporting Season: China Edition" which featured Hall of Fame icon Jerry Rice and online rock show "Live Beijing Music", as well as writing and co-writing feature films scripts such as "Starry Eyes" and "Sugarfields". It was the latter that drew him initially to Puerto Rico in 2015 in efforts to produce the film as a low budget thriller. On the strength of the script "Sugarfields" attracted actors of note including "Gotham" actor J.W. Cortés, "Stars Earn Stripes" TV alum Andrew McLaren, and two-time "Dancing With The Stars USA" winner Anna Demidova. In 2016 Biggam co-founded CereProds, a production services company engaged with a range of clients in production of corporate, commercial, branded, documentary and scripted content. He continues to develop new projects and produce and directs numerous brand, documentary and commercial productions. As an actor Biggam was cast in the role of Financial Analyst in the third series of "Startup" and as a Mercenary in Dee Rees' upcoming Netflix thriller "The Last Thing He Wanted". Behind the camera with production services company CereProds, Biggam has produced and in some cases directed commercials, branded content and documentaries for British Vogue, KIA, Toyota, UNICEF and Google to name a few.
