Memnos Costi was born on 14 August 1976 to Cypriot parents. He has been profoundly Deaf since birth. Growing up in Tottenham, he attended Winston Churchill School for the Deaf. At 13 he moved schools to Burwood Park School for the Deaf. He stayed at this school until the age of 16.At 16 he took a job presenting on "See Hear", and has remained with the show for 11 years.Along with his brother he is a professional footballer, representing England and Cyprus. In 2002 he represented Great Britain in Bulgaria. In 2006 he became the captain of St John's, a British Deaf football team. He plays the position of mid-fielder.In 2003 along with Deaf actress Semhar Beyene, Costi participated in a BSL interpreted version of the classic song, "Something Stupid". Show less «
