Originally from Chicago, Melody made her professional acting debut at age six as Skylar in the world premiere of "Dollhouse" directed by Robert Falls at the Goodman Theatre.She made her Broadway debut originating the role of Susan Waverly in "Irving Berlin's White Christmas" under the direction of Walter Bobbie, a role she also played at the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul and at the Wang Center in Boston. Melody was delighted to perform as part of the original Broadway cast of "White Christmas" in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC.Melody's film credits include "Fred Claus" and "A Golden Christmas" as well as "Talking To Strangers" a short film that she wrote, produced and starred in. She has also appeared in episodes of "Criminal Minds", "The Young and the Restless", "The Fresh Beat Band", and the KTLA morning show. Melody can be seen in the Web series "Outside The Box" and "Welcome Home, Loser", as well as in numerous national commercials.Melody garnered critical acclaim as well as a 2012 nomination for Broadway World Female Cabaret Artist of the year, for her one-woman show "Welcome to Melodyland" which played several venues in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. The live recording won Melody a 2011 LA Eddon Award for Best CD.She received a 2011Young Artist Award nomination and a 2011-2012 Stage Scene LA award for her performance as Annie in Musical Theatre West's production of "Annie" also starring Andrea McArdle (Broadway's original Annie). Melody also won a 2013-2014 Stage Scene LA Featured Actress in a Comedy award for her portrayal of Muriel in Actors Co-op's production of "Ah Wilderness".Melody is a long time member of the Actor's Fund Looking Ahead Leadership Council as well as 'Kids With A Cause'. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA.
