Melinda Brooke was born on July 23, 1996. Her parents, Jose and Sofia Martins (both of Portuguese decent) raised her and her older brother Christian in Pennsylvania. Soccer, being big in Europe and the Portuguese community, has always been a big part of Melinda's life. Melinda has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old and her parents had hopes of her playing professionally one day. However, Melinda had other goals in mind. In addition to her athleticism, Melinda also enjoys dance, choreography and acting. She always knew she would grow up to become an actress. When Melinda turned 13, she started to actively pursue her acting career. Melinda wanted to be like Cameron Diaz and start off modeling and work her way into acting. After some modeling, runway shows and extra work on various TV shows, she got her first lead role in a short film "The Kids Are Up To Something" as well as the lead role for a pilot "Trained".
