Megan Frances grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, IL where she started acting at a young age performing in school plays and musicals. As she grew older, her passion for acting and entertainment only grew stronger. Megan began her professional career touring the Midwest with the Kids Matter National Theatre show, The Art of Making Choices, a show that taught kids how to say "no" to drugs and alcohol. Shortly after that, she landed a featured part in the film, The Rest of Your Life (2001), which won awards at both the Angelciti Film Festival as well as the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival. Following this, she played one of Joan Cusack's students on the short-lived T.V. series What About Joan (2000)In 2004, Megan moved to Los Angeles, CA and attended the New York Film Academy's one-year acting conservatory program at Universal Studios. While in school, she landed a role in Girl with an Accent (2005), which won the Silver Award at the Mumbai International Film Festival. After graduation, Megan showed her love for children again by performing as Clutzo the Juggler in a Christmas show that toured local children's hospitals. She returned to the stage shortly after in The Insomniac Series directed by Chad Taylor. She was featured in The Open Door (2008) directed by Doc Duhame, The Rebuy produced by Scylla Films, and Lakewood's Twilight Zone, a special for Lakewood Public Access Television, before appearing on stage again in The Insomniac Series-Part 2. Megan was a regular performer for several years at No Shame theatre, Los Angeles produced by Jeff Goode, where she also wrote and directed several of her own pieces.After making a cameo in Sean Cain's Silent Night, Zombie Night (2009) and working on Paul Hough's The Human Race (2013), Megan joined the Orange County theater scene by landing the lead role in the musical "The Green Room". She then went on to join the cast of 2 different productions of "RENT" in Fullerton, CA and La Habra, CA. After performing in The Blank Theatre Company's Young Playwrights Festival and yet another production of "RENT", Megan appeared on the karaoke competition show, Killer Karaoke (2012) hosted by Mark McGrath. In 2015, Megan performed in 2 different productions of "Hairspray". In 2016, Megan brought "Hott Line" to the Hollywood Fringe Festival as writer, director, producer, and actor. She then went on to play "Jan" in Grease before shooting 2 episodes for Season 3 of The Price of Fame (2016)Megan was a member of Shine! LA's Youth Theater, a company that performs family-orientated, literature-based material, until they relocated outside of Los Angeles. Megan performed in their productions of "Charlotte's Web the Musical", "A Christmas Story", "Robin Hood the Musical", and "Cinderella the Musical".Having fun creating and playing interesting, over-the-top characters, Megan launched a new YouTube channel in 2016 called "Mondays with Megan" where many of these characters are set to appear.Though Megan has a knack for comedy, she loves to play more dramatic roles and is also developing a thriller-themed web series.
