M.C. Escher was born on June 17, 1898 in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands as Maurits Cornelis Escher. He is known for his work on Labyrinthe (1986), Electric Dreams (1984) and Between Earth and the End of Time (1995). He was married to Jetta Umiker. He died on March 27, 1972 in Laren, Netherlands.
