Maya Dajón is an American Actress, Producer, and Published Author. She was born in Pasadena, California and is of Trinidadian descent. Maya began acting as a child in minor stage performances; she also practiced the violin, and sang with the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Maya began her professional acting career by appearing in short productions and film festivals, and first gained recognition for her role in the TV Comedy The Shop (2012) . During her acting career she branched out into broadcasting, and produced several Radio shows. Maya strongly believes that giving back is what keeps her grounded and humble. One of her goals is to use her background in Early Childhood Education to open a Performing Arts Center for Youth in the Community, "I strive to inspire and educate our Future Leaders so that they can express themselves in a productive and resourceful manner.
