Maxi's long journey to Hollywood began when he left his small suburban city in 1986 and moved to Moscow for study as he past stringent admission test in the most prestigious Aircraft and Rocket Design University in former Soviet Union. As political crisis escalated and situation in Russia heated up so much needed fight for democratic reforms reached its high point Max as young and progressive thinking member of society couldn't stay indifferent and emerges in students political activities to support democratic movement in Russia which ultimately leads to serious problems with college management and government so when political crisis riches its ultimate point and Soviet Union collapses in 1991, Max uses short window of opportunity to escape and in search of freedom and new life he comes to America. With little English he landed in New York City were he would spend next six years of his life learning new life and new culture. In the city so rich with cultural traditions it's hard not to get involved in art and theater. It became a habit to spend weekends on Broadway or going to Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall where he would see the best performing artists from all around the world. Passioned love to performing arts grow to extend that lead Max to make difficult but important decision to move to the World's Ultimate Capital of Entertainment - Hollywood. Upon arrival in the City of Dreams in 1997 Max begins his foray into the motion picture. He attends various film making courses and technical classes and takes parts in independent projects doing virtually everything from sound mixing to camera and lighting work avidly learning difficult craft of film making his credits include variety of independent features and documentaries as well as his latest achievements including two of his own feature films that he produced along with his friend. In his work as a filmmaker Max often applies principles he learned during his engineering study as a rocket engine designer as he believes that art of Motion Picture is an ultimate fusion of creative art and technical ingenuity and skills perhaps as none other form of art it's so precise as rocket engine yet is so sensual as an artist's creation.
