Matuse is an up-and-coming international actor with a storied history as an artist & musician who independently built a solid foundation. Amongst his achievements was his inaugural acting role in the award winning short film 'Between The Flags' for which he garnered the award for Best Male Actor at one of the world's largest short film festivals, The Tropfest Short Film Festival, in 2007.During 2009, Matuse featured in the cinematic released feature film 'Cedar Boys', playing the character of 'Hamdi', sharing the screen opposite Martin Henderson (The Ring) & Rachel Taylor (Transformers). Matuse also contributed to the soundtrack of Cedar Boys, with at least three original songs making the final credits. This led to Matuse securing a highly coveted and recurring role in the hugely successful Australian prime-time television series "Underbelly- The Golden Mile" in late 2010. Underbelly: The Golden Mile is a 13-part Australian television mini-series loosely based on real events that stemmed from the nightclub scene of the Sydney suburb of Kings Cross. Matuse plays the character Shaka, a dangerous but charismatic gun for hire and drug dealer. Matuse successfully ventured into theatre & was signed by renowned STC (Sydney Theatre Company) for the leading role in the STC produced play 'The Other Way' in 2013 following the success of the first run of the original show in 2012 2014 & 2015 saw furthering his theatrical work both in New York (Cherish Every Moment) & Sydney (Look The Other Way/ The Way/ RED) Matuse began touring as part of the major theater production 'Clusters Of Light', playing sold out shows to royalty in Dubai & presidency in Egypt along the venture.2016 Matuse has turned his creative sights on film and television & expressing his talents in multiple areas of artistry, Matuse continues to transcend stereotypes and blur the lines of expectation in acting and music.
