Matthew Mullins is a professional writer, photographer, actor and most recently an event promoter for Bullet Bar & Eagle LA, both located in Southern CaliforniaHe was born in Huntington Beach and lived there for the first 17 years of his life, with his interests and early life dedicated to musical theatre and acting. In high school he went to the Academy for the Performing Arts in Huntington Beach, and graduated in 1998.In the last decade, he has emerged as an underground electronic music artist, creating odd and quirky experimental electronic music under the name Biological.After moving all over the Southern California area, he ended up moving to Los Angeles in 2004, where he met his partner, Dan Lovell. They created "Skullbit Creative," a unique fetish-oriented gay event management company, producing club events at the Bullet Bar, such as Dog Pound, CockSock, and Glow Me.In 2014, Mullins joined the ranks of the Los Angeles Leather Contingent, after winning Mr. Bullet Leather 2014. He went on to compete at the Mr. Los Angeles Leather contest. Six months later, he won Southern California Leather Boy 2014 in San Diego, which led him to compete and place 1st runner up at the International Leather Sir/boy competition in Dallas. During his title year, he became a bartender at the Bullet bar, and raised over $8,000 collectively for charities such as, APLA, AIDS Lifecycle, St Judes Research Hospital, Long Beach AIDS Alliance, LA Gay & Lesbian Center, Paws LA, Tom of Finland Foundation, and several other charitiesIn 2015, he competed and won the title Mr. West Coast Olympus Leather, and competed in the International Olympus Leather Contest in Atlanta, but did not place.Mullins is also known as Pup Ashtray Kain, and is the co-creator of the Los Angeles Puppy Pride Festival, which features the Los Angeles Pup Contest. He is seen by many within. the leather community as the authority on the human pup play fetish, and has been interested in the fetish for most of his life.In February 2017, he won a fourth leather title; in its inaugural year, he became International Geared Up Pup.In March 2017 he was contacted by the TruTV network and asked to appear as a human pup expert on the show 'You Can Do Better.'
