Matthew MacCallum is an actor, writer, stand-up comedian, and filmmaker residing in Hamilton ON, Canada. Between performing and writing new material, Matthew has recently been featured in multiple episodes of the CBC Miniseries Canada: The Story of Us, and will appear in the upcoming film The Shape of Water.After attending the digital film and television production program at the Toronto Film School Matthew returned to his hometown of London, in 2005, to write and direct nine short films.These titles screened both nationally and abroad. His second film, "Another Boring Sunday," quickly received it's own IMDb page following festival screenings and positive reviews.As passionate as Matthew is about film, he is equally as passionate stand-up comedy. Consistently performing at venues across Ontario, and producing/hosting two comedy podcasts, has quickly begun to draw an extremely supportive fan base.Matthew has had the opportunity to perform in various film and television projects including Resident Evil: Retribution; The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones; See No Evil (TV); and 12 Monkeys (TV).Comfortable in heavy prosthetic and make up roles in major films, Matthew has also stripped down for motion capture sequences when he provided the movements for the creature in Matchbox Pictures' film Grey Matter.Matthew's starring roles range from the short horror film Panopticon, which played festivals across North America, to the comedy web series Dave And Greg, where he played the titular character Dave Dumart.
