Matthew Thomas Brown was born in Boston, MA. He attended Woodberry Forest School an all-male boarding school in Virginia. He then graduated from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA with a B.A. in Theatre and English. In his junior year, he lived in Galway, Ireland where he performed "The Merchant of Venice" with the Tungsten Theatre Company. He is involved with the UCB Theater in New York and Los Angeles.
