Mat was born in the city of Chelmsford in Essex, UK in March 1975. At the age of 14 he joined a local operatic and dramatic society and after his first performance on stage he was hooked and his love for acting and musical theater began. At the age of 18 he landed his first major lead playing Tony in West side story and he began singing lessons to improve his vocal ability. 25 years later Mat has played roles in 41 theatre productions, he has worked back stage and has recently directed a youth production of the Wizard of Oz in his home town. When not on stage or film productions Mat enjoys working as a qualified counsellor and specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) where he works with private clients in Essex. Show less «
