M W Lanz (Mark Lanz) was born in the Northwest during the great Alaskan earthquake of 1964. He exhibited a great interest in the arts and creativity early on in life by participating in orchestra, band, and theater throughout his childhood and teenage years. It was in high school that he joined his schools thespian troop and performed in several productions as both lead and supporting roles.After high school M W Lanz went on to a successful career in IT and continued to develop his skills and professional development. He earned a certification in Project Management (2003), in addition to an advanced Stanford Project Management Certification (2011). Most recently he has completed studies with City University of Seattle and been conferred a Bachelor of Arts Management degree with Cum Laude Honors and Dean's List acknowledgement (2016). He is currently also working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computing and Network Security with the same University.Since returning to his early love of creative arts and acting, M W Lanz has become a published author (2003) while penning a children's fantasy book about his cats "The Extraordinarily Fantastic Adventures of Alara Amun and Sankara Shib." He feels strongly about animal welfare and donated proceeds from sales of the book to many local animal not for profit animal welfare groups that he actively promotes and supports. He has also continued his acting development through workshops and participation on local productions (2017). He has completed roles in television, web, and print advertisement for the Washington State Department of Licensing and BECU, performed in student film projects for the Seattle Film Institute. In addition, he has appeared in multiple HD short and music videos including; The Oath, The Lost Wallet, Lick It Jack, Vacations Home, and Grandpas Vape for the First Time. He is also a member of Dream Fables that is currently in production playing multiple parts.
