María José Ovalle is a Chilean born American actor. She spent her life living between the U.S. and Chile allowing her to be fully bilingual and understanding both cultures fully. She is a comedic actor, online content creator, writer and stand-up. She lived in London for six years and there began her acting career - taking classes from West End pros and performing in community theatre despite having another career.In 2018 she was a finalist for "Best Comedy Creator" at the Tecla Awards for her bilingual YouTube sketch comedy channel "la chilena gringa" during Hispanicize conference in Miami. The same year she wrote, produced and acted in a spec bilingual commercial as "Pau" a Latina "Flo" to pitch to Progressive, the insurance giant. Seeing that they have 8,500 bilingual agents but do not market to the U.S. Hispanic consumer, she took it upon herself to create the perfect agent who could serve her customers in both languages.María José (which is a combined name) is based in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband and three kids.
