Marcos Sánchez was born on November 26, 1972 in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Since age 12 has been related to cinema due to a neighbor used to project black and white films on weekends. Used to go to cinema every Sunday matinee where he developed a more interest in how movies were made. Participated in an ill-fated home movie called "Stanley" at age of 13 about illegal boat trips between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. in 1984 was selected along with other older students from his school to participate in an effect sound recording audio commercial for the late Gulf+Western (founded by Charles Bluhdorn). In 1995 began working as a certified broadcaster and TV host in both local radio and TV stations in his hometown of La Romana focusing in movie topics (which he still currently does). In 2008 participated in an independent film shot in La Romana called "La Sangre" as the protagonist's main friend. That year also created the 80s music blog "Eighties News" and the year after, "Cuentos Sociales", about his childhood, youth and adult experiences showing his writing skills. In 2011 "El Nuevo Orden", another local film was in the works, but later shut down due to budget and by 2014 made his feature film debut as a one-liner private watchman in the Dominican remake of "La Extraña", which was based on Sergio Gobbi's film "L'étrangère" (1968) and starred by Frank Perozo and Evelyna Rodríguez. In 2015 acted as a Police Detective in the local independent film "Entre El Poder y La Calle" which was delayed until 2017 for its formal screening and later uploaded in internet two years later. In 2017 repeated as a private watchman in David Maler's "Todas las mujeres son iguales" and "Caribe Todo Incluido" (still awaiting to premiere). In 2018 was an extra in Francis Disla's "El Fantasma de mi Novia" and Frank Perozo's "Qué León". Later that year had a one-liner part in Andrés Farías "Candela" (currently in post-production) and as an extra in a drama called "Culpables" directed by José Enrique Pintor.2019 saw him participating in Giancarlo Beras-Goico and Alfonso Rodríguez film "Kanibarú". Currently: An extended exposure in Romeo Santos and El Chaval de la Bachata video clip "Canalla" (released June 28th), re-started shooting "El Nuevo Orden", appeared in the BHD León advertising NOW Banca Joven (released August 19th) and political advertising tv spot "El próximo puede ser tu hijo" (released October 7th). Cast as an extra in Dennis Quaid's "On The Line" (November 14th) and then in the Dominican mystery film "Inframundo" (November 18th), both filming right now. Show less «
