Born in Berlin in 1969, Marco was raised in his home town as the youngest of three brothers. His acting career started somewhat unexpectedly when he was cast to play lead in the award-winning feature Europa Europa (1990) in 1989. The same year Marco played a disabled boy in the German TV play Hurenglück (1991). After taking actors classes in Berlin und Paris he played the title role in French-American co-production Foreign Student (1994). In 1994 Marco moved to Los Angeles where he played in Immortal Beloved (1994) (with Gary Oldman), in The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996) (with Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer), and in Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000). In Germany Marco could be seen in 008 - Agent wider Willen (2000), Die Cleveren (1998), Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei (1996), Wolffs Revier (1992), Tatort (1970), Ein Fall für zwei (1981), and other TV features. On stage he performed as Romeo in 'Romeo and Juliette' and as Constantin in 'The Seagull' (in German). In 1997 Marco began taking directors classes at the University of California, and subsequently enrolled in studies of photography. As an actor, Marco's most recent performance was in Luther (2003).
