Makhmut Gareev was born on June 23, 1923 in Chelyabinsk, RSFSR, USSR as Makhmut Akhmetovich Gareyev. He is known for his work on Takoy soldat nepobedim (Ucheniya 'Zapad-81') (1981), The Cuba Libre Story (2016) and War of the Century (1999).
