Mair Mulroney, born Mary Alice Mulroney and known musically as ThatGirlMair, is an award winning American actress, songwriter, singer, and model.Mair was born at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. to Mary Patricia Denney and Thomas Joseph Mulroney. She is of Irish, English, German, Dutch, and Czechoslovakian ancestry. Mair grew up in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Vienna, Virginia where she attended James Madison High School and eventually Randolph Macon Military Academy in Front Royal, Virginia before completing her education via online homeschooling through the University of Nebraska in order to pursue a career in entertainment.By the age of three, Mair was enrolled in dance classes and she was performing in the Disney Live theatre production of Beauty and The Beast at the age of four. She asked for a guitar for her fifth birthday but was instead gifted with a Casio keyboard and piano lessons with the promise of a baby grand piano for her 10th birthday if she continued to take lessons and participate in recitals. Mair thrived in dance, music, and creative writing but she struggled academically although not for lack of trying. After having been diagnosed with dyslexia, she underwent extensive testing from which professionals concluded that while she was incredibly bright, she was physically incapable of thinking inside the box and would therefore never succeed in a world in which she was given limitations. Frustrated and in need of constant creative release, Mair spent hours and even days creating home movies that she herself would write, direct and star in, writing songs, and choreographing dance routines that she would perform in for family member and neighbors. Mair began singing in her church choir and received the baby grand piano on her 10th birthday that she had strived for, from which her love for the piano and songwriting only further blossomed.Mair landed the soundtrack and a supporting role in her first feature film at the age of 16 and was walking the runway for designers such as MaxMara at the age of 17 . When faced with making the decision between going to New York to pursue modeling full time or staying home to focus on music, Mair chose music. She started her own independent record label with a third party at the age of 18 and received a distribution deal through Warner Music Group at the age of 19, under which she released an EP and after which she transferred distribution to Universal Music Group where she released a full length album, however, she was beginning to question the judgment, capabilities, business dealings, and motives of the third party she was in business with. Once again frustrated, Mair took solace in her creativity; further developing her craft by spending hours, days, and weeks writing, recording, and rehearsing routines with dedicated groups of dancers and musicians that would be performed at top venues throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, in New York, and Los Angeles. Feeling as though she had outgrown the community that had supported her in her early music career, Mair made the decision to move to Los Angeles in search of bigger opportunities. Upon arrival, she felt increasingly stifled by the third party she had brought with her given the task of helping leverage the LA Market and overseeing day-to-day activities at the label. Caught between a rock and a hard place and unable to perform on a regular basis, Mair found herself locked in a recording studio 10 to 12 hours a day creating brilliant material that didn't seem to be going anywhere, and after uncovering shady business dealings of the third party she was in business with, a long over-due falling out ensued and the label has since been dissolved with Mair owning the exclusive rights to all intellectual properties.Alone in a new city and in need of an outlet to perform creatively in some form or fashion, Mair began auditioning for commercial roles and music videos and she began booking them immediately. She was quickly approached by talent management and signed with a commercial and film agency. Her commercial credits include well-known brands such as Apple, Purina, LG, Western Digital, Microsoft, AT&T, JW Marriott, Tostitos, and SyFy. She has appeared on MTV in music videos for artists such as Katy Perry feat. Skip Marley in Chained To The Rhythm, Morrissey in Jacky's Only Happy, Grammy nominated band Lukas Graham in Drunk In The Morning, KATO & Sigala feat. Hailee Steinfeld in Show You Love, DJ Nytrix feat. DEV in Electric Walk, Secret Weapons in Something New, Mike Posner in I Took A Pill In Ibiza, Olivia Holt in Phoenix, DJ Nytrix feat. Neon Hitch in When Will I See You Again, and more.Mair worked with Emmy, Grammy, and ASCAP Pop Music Award winning songwriter, composer, and record producer Adam Schlesinger to record the jingle for Tostitos' 2017 Cantina Cinco De Mayo campaign and continued to work with Schlesinger recording demo vocals for the CW's Emmy Award winning television show My Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Theatrically she played the lead female role of Alice Murphy in the short film _Candy & Ronnie (2017)_ and contributed to the soundtrack, which made waves in 2017 and 2018 film festivals and for which Mair won Best Actress at the LA Shorts Awards as well as Best Performance at the Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival. She has had lead roles in episodes of the Netflix show _"Corrupt Crimes" (2015- ) {Dangerous Obsession (2017)}_ and Eli Roth's horror network Crypt TV. She starred in the JW Marriott short film Greeting From Los Angeles which debuted at the La Jolla International Film Festival (the Cannes of the Fashion Film world) in July of 2017 where Mair received a Best Actress nomination.Musically he is described as eclectic, emotional, and interesting; a bright, multi-talented performer who fearlessly infuses her soul and playfulness into a masterfully melodic, lyrical flow that is both emotionally powerful and infectiously fun. Blending a fresh vocal styling, Mair's natural optimism gives her the gift of resilience and the courage to share her perspective as she looks back, learns and laughs, and continues tackling serious subject matter with a light heart.Mair is currently located in Los Angeles, California.
