Maddy Rae Cooper has lived on a farm in Georgia for most of her life. She began riding horses at the age of seven and spent her childhood riding, training, and traveling around the South East to compete in Hunter/Jumper events. In 2007, she won the Georgia Hunter/Jumper Association J.D. Pounds Medal Final and the Junior Equitation Challenge on her favorite horse, Waffle. Sadly, she was forced to abandon the sport when she contracted Lyme Disease in 2009, and was too sick to ride for the next two years. While recovering from Lyme, she started taking acting classes for fun at a local acting school, Atlanta Workshop Players, and fell in love with the art. She stepped away from acting for several years to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology as a business major, but realized that acting was where her passion truly lies and decided to pursue acting professionally. Since then, she has appeared in MTV's Finding Carter and in the groundbreaking YouTube hit Video Game High School as Irish farm girl, O'Doyle.Maddy also practices the Brazilian martial art, Capoeira, and recently began learning the acrobatic art of aerial silks. Her other hobbies include reading (she loves Harry Potter), watching movies (especially ones about Marvel superheroes), and playing guitar (badly). She also has a passion for food and loves to garden and cook.Though she only rides horses occasionally these days, she has no lack of non-human presence in her life. She still lives on her family's farm with a herd of Jacob sheep, a mule, a donkey, several dogs and cats, a bunny, and most importantly, her adorable French Bulldog, Dreamy.
