Maddie Evans is a British actress born in 2006.Maddie started her screen acting career on BBC1's award-winning serial drama Eastenders in 2017 and 2018, where she was a regular 'Albert Square' resident.Playing the part of a school girl, in 2018 she featured in Warner Bros. Fantastic Beasts - The Crimes of Grindelwald, the second installment of the Fantastic Beasts series featuring the adventures of Magizoologist Newt Scamander. Based on characters written by J.K. Rowling, and directed by David Yates, the film was the 10th highest-grossing film of 2018.Maddie then went on to do another major film for Warner Bros. in 2019 and one for Disney in the same year, both as yet to be announced.At the age of 11 Maddie debuted her first professional animation voice role as the lead in a DreamWorks TV Series to be released on Netflix in 2020. She went on to do both voice and vocals for two further DreamWorks animation films, yet to be announced and due for release in 2020/2021.Spotted by a visiting creative at her school, the renowned Redroofs School for the Performing Arts, Maddie was cast in 2020 as the young lead Mary Anne Evans (aka George Eliot) in the BBC4 radio drama Marian and George. Directed by Emma Harding and also starring Lia Williams and Tom Goodman-Hill, the biographical drama tells the story of how the Victorian novelist and poet George Eliot grappled with the choices she had to make.Maddie can also be seen in BBC's 2020 Horrible Histories The Movie - Rotten Romans promo #DoTheBoudicca.Since a young age Maddie has trained in all aspects of the performing arts. As a naturally versatile singer and actress, she gained a scholarship to train at Redroofs school at the age of 12 and was also accepted for ongoing training by some of the best acting and singing coaches in the UK and US.
