Born and Raised in Boulder, Colorado, Macleish Day has always had a passion for the arts. He started dancing at the very early age of four with his family owned dance company called "Boulder Performing Arts Company". He began acting in many of the companies short plays and dances. He later joined the small theatre troupe called "Peanut Butter Players" doing musicals. He then realized from that day on that he wanted to be a performer.By high school, Macleish began to study intensively in Musical Theatre and later attended Interlochen Center for the Arts and studied alongside such alums as Adam Pelty, Anthony Rapp, and David Montee. He was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy after going on Opening night as the lead actor for the musical "Sweet Charity" performing for 1,000 people. This later earned him the fine arts award for his performance. He later graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy and set out to make a career in the arts.Macleish later went to the University of Northern Colorado to pursue his B.A. in Musical Theatre.Although Macleish would meet up with some of the most prominent teachers and actors by the time he finished college, he still considers it an honor to have had the pleasure to meet and work with Terrence Mann, Frank Wildhorn, Deb McWaters, and Brandi Burkhardt all of which he met at a wonderful institution called The Broadway Theatre Project.After finishing college he later booked the lead role in How to Succeed in Business as J. Pierrepont Finch with Nick Sugar, where He would later meet movie producer Darlene Cypser. It wasn't until his audition for The Highwayman that he realized that his career path would change from Musical Theatre to Film. He has the pleasure to work alongside working actor Martin Kove in The Highwayman.Macleish then moved to LA and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
