He has trained at the renown Beverly Hills Playhouse as well as the Upright Citizens Brigade for theater and Improv. In order to get a true sense as to who Maaz is, you will be able to find that in the Tesla Boy "Circles" music video which is to be featured at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Texas come March 2017. As the lead, the video captures all of Ali's various shades and nuances as a performer. As his friends and family best put it, it's "offbeat and quirky yet completely slick, entertaining and edgy all at the same time." Maaz is no stranger to this medium though as he has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Trey Songz, and Wiz Khalifa. As for Ali's latest ventures, he has found commercial success working with global companies such as Rebtel, Toyota, and now YouTube TV. Maaz is also starring in an Indie film titled "Lights" which will be featured at a few Film Festivals in the latter part of the year.Despite those accomplishments, Maaz is most recognizable for his viral work with Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, Upworthy, and Refinery 29 to name a few. The videos give commentary on the South Asian American experience as well as battle Islamophobia in America. Maaz hopes to be a contributing member of the up and coming wave of Muslim American artists in the ever-evolving American mainstream.
