Lynette Callaghan was born and raised Dublin, Ireland. At 17, she left Ireland to train for her BA (HONS) in Acting at the Manchester Polytechnic, joining the ranks of such illustrious past alumni as Steve Coogan and Julie Walters. Her final year at the Polytechnic saw her land a role in the ITV drama Cold feet. This was closely followed by a role in the UK sitcom Emerdale. On returning to Ireland, Lynette went on to work extensively in TV, Film and Theatre securing roles in The Clinic, Raw and The Tudors. Lynette is recognizable for her award-winning role as Rachel Smith in the controversial Irish feature film 8.5hours. She has played Irish temptress Molly Sweeney opposite Colm Meaney, Fred Willard and Kevin Farley in feature film The Yank. Her most recent work includes leading lady Tara McMahon in The Gaelic Curse.
