Colombian Actress, playwright, theater producer and hostess. She is the winner of India Catalina Award in 2016, as Best Antagonistic Actress, this is the most important award for actors in Colombia. She studied acting at the Antioquia University and then, she won a scholarship to make a master in Dramaturgy at the same university, for her excellent grades. She has 25 years of acting experience and she's performed in more than thirty soap-operas, series, plays and movies, such as: Nadie Me Quita lo Baila'o; Las Hermanitas Calle; Francisco, el Matemático; La Ley del Corazón; Alias J.J.; La Tusa; Los Graduados; Escobar; Las Detectivas y el Víctor; Criminal; Apatía, una Película de Carretera; Rodando, a short film invited to 2002 Cannes Film Festival; etc. Besides being an actress, Luz Estrada has developed a writing career and has written many screenplays as: Aqualia, a children's play presented in several opportunities in Spain, Germany and Morocco and was also invited to FITB 2010. Luz has a theatre production company named "El Ojo Indiscreto" (the indiscreet/imprudent eye) with which she has staged her own comedies: La Vida Alegre (The Cheerful Life) recently premiered in Bogota and Medellin; and El Hombre Reina y La Mujer Gobierna (Man Reigns and Woman Governs/Commands), which is actually a mixture of a theatrical monologue and a stan up comedy- written and acted by herself, this play has won the award to Best Unipersonal Comedy Play of Mar del Plata International Teather Festival en 2017 and also won the same award in Bogotá in 2012, with more than 200 functions to the public.
