Lukas Melnik was born in Sumperk where he spent his childhood along with his three younger siblings. After secondary school, he graduated from prestigious acting academy in Brno, CZ (Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno) in 2007. Since studies he has already written several screenplays with his colleague, friend and also JAMU graduate Marcel Skrkon. The last two film scripts are (Labus Movie) and (Isabel). After graduation he was offered a contract by acclaimed director John Mikulasek in one of the best theater in Czech republic (Petr Bezruc Theatre in Ostrava). Lukas Melnik works in the Petr Bezruc Theatre up to this day, for example as Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Khlestakov (The Government Inspector), Ivan Landsman (Colorful layers), Christian (The Celebration, orig. Festen) etc. and also hosted in The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre. Show less «
