Lou Wegner was born in Columbus, Ohio, the state that gave America Steven Spielberg, Drew Carey, Annie Oakley, Bob Hope, Paul Newman, Clark Gable, John Glenn, and other well known personalities. The 19-year old actor and animal advocate appeared in "Trouble With the Curve" starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, and Justin Timberlake, Teenage Cocktail, The Pledge, A Christmas Tree Miracle, Warrior Showdown, 2011 VH-1 Do Something Awards, Modern Family and other film and television projects.He founded Kids Against Animal Cruelty (KAAC) in 2010, a non-profit foundation for animal rights, rescue and adoption. He started KAAC at 14 when he discovered that shelter animals were euthanized if not adopted due to overcrowded shelters. KAAC has chapters in 16 states run by teens with global chapters in Belgium, Brazil, Greece, and Nepal. KAAC members are active in animal issues including banning puppy mills, closing down shelter gas chambers, the importance of spay and/or neuter and wildlife conservation. Lou is also lobbying to educate his generation on the importance of responsible pet ownership.With more than 50,000 KAAC members and partner coalitions, and celebrity support including: Betty White, Denise Richards and Joanna Krupa; KAAC is the fastest growing youth animal advocacy group in the nation. His music video/PSA "1Life2Live" was filmed at the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter in Los Angeles to raise awareness for millions of animals on death row in high-kill shelters.Lou is the National Youth Ambassador for The American Humane Association. He has been featured on CNN and National Geographic.When not busy acting, he works tirelessly finding homes for shelter animals and taking care of his eight rescue dogs. Lou is a 1st degree Black Belt, a swordsman, an equestrian, a martial artist, parkour enthusiast, and a longboarder. Lou motivates fellow teens and adults to stand up for change and is a role model and an inspiration to those around him.
