Born in Oregon's beautiful Columbia Gorge and raised in the Pacific Northwest and Arctic Alaska, Lorin graduated from high school a year early and began studying textile design (and running hurdles for the track team) at Oregon State University. A friend in the theater department convinced her to audition for a play--she got the part and liked it so much that she immediately followed it up with others. Although she moved to Los Angeles to study apparel design it didn't take long for her to abandon that path for acting. Lorin has studied with masters Jeff Corey, Sanford Meisner, Milton Katselas, Jeffrey Tambor and Richard Lawson. She has three daughters and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Eric Davis.
