Liza Oxnard, and her band, Zuba, played with such big names as Willie Nelson and Blues Traveller during their extensive touring from 1991-1998. Their big break came when the Farrelly brothers discovered them in a pub in Aspen, Colorado and used three of their songs for the movies 'There's Something About Mary' and 'Kingpin'. Liza formed her own Americana band, "Liza", and went on to write songs for the Indy film, "Scrapple". She also wrote songs for "Winter Break (aka Sheer Bliss)" as well as acting in the role of "Liza" - the bakery manager and local rock star. You can see Liza performing with her band in the party scene of Winter Break. Other movie / music credits include Warren Miller's "Snowriders". Liza has performed all over the U.S. with her current band opening for such acts as The String Cheese Incident, Ben Harper, Patty Griffin, Norah Jones, Louden Wainwright, MoFro, and Spearhead.
