NYC-based Lisa Ramey is a multitalented singer-songwriter. Described by Entertainment Weekly as "a force to be reckoned with," her voice defies categorization and exudes a gritty soul and passion that emphatically captures her St. Louis roots.Growing up in St. Louis, and performing since the age of nine, Ramey performed 11 consecutive seasons at The Muny. Besides the Muney, Ramey has also played Stages St. Louis, The Black Rep Theater St. Louis, Washington University, The Fox and The Sheldon Concert Hall. She has previously been interviewed by FOX 2, KMOV 4, KPLR 11, and KSDK 5 and she spent several years assisting Nancy St. James with the Variety Kids Club Choir.Ramey fronted a wildly popular funk-soul band (SugarBad), has graced Broadway stages, toured the world with Cirque du Soleil as the Soul Singer in KOOZA, had her television debut singing backup on HBO's original series, VINYL, and was just seen on NBC The Voice Season 15 singing Beautiful Trauma by P!nk at the Blind Auditions.Ramey has a number of exciting projects on the horizon in Q1 2019, including a record release to accompany her current EP and an arc on a nationally televised show.
