Lisa is a GRAMMY Nominee. She has worked with multi-Grammy winner/producer KebMo', Beatles' producer Sir George Martin, Little Richard, Peter Bogdonovitch, Jim Carey, Sam Kennison, Patrick Cranshaw, Robert Easton, Queen Ida, Brian Setzer, John Hiatt, Randy Newman, Lyle Lovett, Taj Mahal, Dave Koz, Rockin' Sydney, Joe Simien, and a host of others.Lisa is featured as fiddle player Hortense Clampet in "The Beverly Hillbillies Movie" as well as orchestral violinist in Jim Carey film "The Man in the Moon" and Anthony Hopkins' "Red Dragon".Born to an expatriate Southern family, she began performing at the age of four. Soon afterwards, the family moved to the Hollywood area, where her next-door neighbor, Mickey Mouse Show producer Bob Holoboff, offered to make her a Mousekateer. Her parents declined, preferring that she pursue a respectable career in classical music. Her father's family songs, including the modal tunes of Louisiana, were banished to the garage. However, summer trips to Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee reinforced her Southern heritage. The resulting culture clash gravitated young Lisa to the lively, quirky music of her forefathers.Entree to the Hollywood theater and music scene, a stint at age 17 as music director for an operetta company, and band experience with the engineer for the Beach Boys and Todd Rundgren, led her to turn down a classical music college scholarship, favoring the more passionate calling of her muse.Snaring a spot with Grammy-winning Zydeco icon "Queen Ida", Lisa toured the US, Canada and Europe to favorable reviews. The protégé of legendary Cajun accordionist Joe Simien, she also toured with Grammy-winners Al Rapone and Rockin' Sydney (writer of "Don't Mess with My Toot-toot".)She is a descendant of Francis Scott Key, and kin to F. Scott Fitzgerald, Bill Haley, and the LeBoeuf, Broussard, Lambert and Thibodaux families.Springboarding to her own group in 1995, Lisa performs with her All-Star band, The Zydekats, throughout the US, Canada and Europe, infecting the world with her special brand of Americana/Louisiana music known as "Zydecosis".She played Gypsy violin on a Brian Setzer Orchestra album, and a mean fiddle on the soundtrack for the Adam Sandler movie "The Waterboy". She has also recorded for John Hiatt, John Barry, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dramarama, and principal instrument for the movie "The Grave".With eight albums to her credit, including GRAMMY Nominated "King Cake," the latest "Joy Ride" and European release "Louisiana", Lisa ignites the spirits of Americana, Zydeco/Cajun, Jazz, Rock, Christian, and Folk fans. Her critically acclaimed song "Always Be Your Guide" was used in feature film "Mr. Atlas", and was a contender for the "Lord of the Rings 3" soundtrack. Recent appearances include NBC's top-rated TV show "Las Vegas", performing an original tune and playing with the legendary Little Richard. Show less «
