Lisa DeWitt was born in Oakland, California to a German mother and African American father. She was raised on the island town of Alameda,California where her father was the first ever African American City Council member and Vice Mayor. She can trace her love for movies back to a young girl, riding in the back of the family station wagon in pajamas, going to the drive-in on Saturday nights to see movies like Clint Eastwood in "Hang Em High", Raquel Welch in "One Million Years B.C.", "2001: Space Odyssey, "JD's Revenge", "Dirty Dozen", "Jaws", and "The Godfather". As she got older she developed a high interest and passion on how movies were made, and devoured books like "Rebel Without A Crew" by Robert Rodriquez, "Making Movies" by Sidney Lumet, any and everything on Spike Lee. After a long successful Corporate career in Oakland, Ca, Lisa began her Acting career in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1997 studying and working on stage, commercial, film, and voiceover projects. She moved to Los Angeles in 2003,and has worked on-camera as well as behind the camera crewing on various independent films.
