Lisa Kessous (nee Courbetis) was born in Montreal, Quebec, on April 9, 1977. Born to a Jewish mother, Lisa is of Moroccan, Israeli and Greek descent. In Lisa's late teens and early 20's, she blossomed into an stunningly, beautiful young woman, garnering attention from photographers and local modeling agencies to work as a model in fashion, both in clothing lines and in swimwear. She devoted a great deal of time to fitness and body image during her early 20's. Consequently, her beautiful dark complexion, stunning face, accented with her light green eyes and natural brunette hair were an ensemble and attracted the interest of local hard-copy and online fitness and fashion magazines. She also attracted another interested group; the Hawaiian Tropic Company and in particular, Ron Rice, the owner of Hawaiian Tropic. In 2000, the Canadian National Hawaiian Tropic competition was held in the scenic mountainous setting of Saint-Sauveur, Quebec, attracting over 140 girls from across Canada, who had already won regional competitions which allowed qualification at the national competition, to designate representatives from Canada, at the world competition in Las Vegas a few months later. Lisa decided that she would enter the competition, only if she trained vigorously and got into shape she felt was good enough to win. After winning the Canadian competition, she was invited to compete in the Hawaiian Tropic International competition, where she competed against beautiful women from all over the world. Although a rival Canadian won the competition, Lisa went on to shoot calendars, ads and magazines both for Hawaiian Tropic, style and fitness magazines for a number of years. She, along with the other Hawaiian Tropic girls had cameos in the Sylvester Stallone racing movie, "Driven". Today, she resides in Cancun, Mexico with her husband and little girl, and maintains a fit and healthy lifestyle.
