Lia Alú was born In Italy. At 18 years old Lia Moved to London to pursue her passion for Dancing and Performing Arts and trained at The Urdang Academy of Performing Arts, in London . She then went onto study Acting, at the City Literary Institute and then, the Actors Studio in Pinewood Film Studio, in screen acting. After Having made appearances in several stage productions in London and Portugal , her first significant international Film on the Screen appearance is made in a feature Film; Felix, Net and Nika and the Theoretically Terrible Catastrophe as an Italian Lady. The Film won best special effect of the year 2012. In 2013, she then went on to play Giovanna in the Film L'Assenza, Directed by Jonathan Romney alongside Stephen Mangan. She also plays two different roles, as Anne's Mother and then Old Anne in the Film A Brunette Kiss, in 2011. The Film received 5 Awards Winning in 3 International Film Festivals . Her other appearance in 2011 are Agnes in the Comedy Film Nudes in Tartan. She also appeared in the TV Series Ultimate Force, where she played an Hostage in the Italian consulate in London, alongside Ross Kemp, Directed by Tim Leandro for ITV in 2005. Lia Alú is also a qualified Pilates Instructor, and has been teaching Dance and Pilates for over 15 years. In the native town dialect of Lia Alú, the Surname Alú is a diminutive derivative of the Italian Word (Alunno) meaning ( Student ).
