Born in 1988, Leonardo graduated from the Scuola del Teatro Stabile di Torino in 2012. In his career, he alternates acting and theatre direction. In his first ten years as a director, Lidi stands out for his ability and productivity, winning the Italian Theatre Critic's award at only 32 years of age and confirming himself as a generational reference director. He is constantly produced by national Teatri Stabili and guest at International Festivals. From September 2021 he is Didactic Coordinator of the School of Teatro Stabile of Turin. Among the plays he has directed are Spettri (Gengångare) by Ibsen (Venice Biennale 2018), Zoo di Vetro (The Glass Menagerie) by Williams, Casa di Bernarda Alba by Lorca, Città Morta by D'Annunzio (Venice Biennale 2020) and Signorina Giulia (Fröken Julie) by Strindberg (Spoleto Festival 2021). Lidi also works with contemporary dramaturgy and makes his opera debut with Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff.Since 2019, he has also been dedicating himself to cinema as an actor. He stars in the films "Lessons of Love" by Chiara Campara and "Il demolitore di camper" by Robert Ralston. He plays Maurizio Orlandini alongside the main character played by Elio Germano in the film "L'incredibile storia dell'Isola delle rose" directed by Sidney Sibilia and produced by Netflix and Groenlandia. He is Vito in the cast of the film "Il Paradiso del Pavone", directed by Laura Bispuri for Vivo Film. For TV he is in the cast of "Carosello Carosone" in the role of Remigio Campi, directed by Lucio Pellegrini and as Teo in the cast of the series "Noi" directed by Luca Ribuoli for Cattleya.
